Beyond Fashion
2022
The shirt was inspired by Leila Vignelli’s round silver tube necklaces, translating the curves of the necklace into the design of the collar and placket.
2023
Inspired by Vignelli’s use of the grid, and its use in dividing spaces, we divided the body into sections and suggested subdivisions with different size squares and layers.
RIT’s annual fashion show sponsored by the Vignelli Center for Design Studies. Each show centers around a theme inspired by Massimo and Leila Vignelli’s work.
Quilting
Tiger Rug
I’ve always wanted and enjoyed the look of those animal hide rugs, so I decided to take a more ethical approach and make a giant quilt version.
60’’ x 100’’
Fruitbowl Still life
20’’ x 20’’
Like most art classes, a still life will be the first subject one draws. As such, I have chosen to make a fruit bowl the subject of my first quilt.

Finish - Patina with Liver of Sulfure

Materials - Sterling Siver, Fine Silver
Inspired by suspension bridge connectors, I turned the connectors into a bracelet. These started as 3D prints in castable wax! This was a really cool process and was interesting to experiment with. Starting with 3d prints also allowed me to test different scales and mechanics with little effort.
Inspired by luggage key holders often made of leather, I wanted to reimage one as jewelry. As keys are something you carry every day, clochette necklace celebrates them, hung around your neck. The patina ages overtime, wearing away, a detail inspired by my love for vintage clothing and they way they tell stories.
My first time using carving waxes to build volume to make jewelry, so I wanted to lean into the material and the idea of growth or building. Along those lines, I made a ring and necklace pendant that resembled a grotesque almost cancerous growth, with elements resembling barnecles, as they too are a parasitic growth.

Spatuala
The perfect spatula for making soups or stews is made of beech wood and finished with mineral oil. The shallow ladle acts as the perfect tasting vessel as your adjust seasonings.
The rounded handle gives you a firm grip as you stir your pot.
The angled lip of the spatula lets you scrap any last bit of flavor that may be left at the bottom of your pot.
The slightly rounded tip of the spatula lets you get every last drop of goodness from the bottom edges of your pot.
Yum!
